I made a zine
I launched my first-ever zine on June 6 at Bildband Berlin after doing their zine workshop a couple of weeks earlier. In my opinion, it’s the best photo bookshop anywhere. Think of it as Rough Trade Records (in the early days) but for photo books.
Pointes of Interest is my photo project which documented the transformation of Montreal and especially Pointe-Saint-Charles from 2019 to 2024. Pointe-Saint-Charles, an enclave isolated from the rest of Montreal by the Lachine Canal and a railroad, has long been a place of intrigue, even for fellow Montrealers. In the 1960s and '70s, this predominately Irish working-class neighborhood fell on hard times. De-industrialization and the decline of the Lachine Canal led to factory closures and mass layoffs, leaving the community in poverty.
